How fast does Drontal work?

Drontal dog tasty bone tablets contain three ingredients which all work slightly differently to ensure both round and tapeworms are treated. One of these ingredients starts taking effect in as little as 30 minutes, however it can take up to 2-3 days for some types of worm to be killed.

How long does Drontal last?

Drontal dog tasty bone tablets are designed to kill any susceptible worms present in the dog at the time of administration – it doesn’t have a lasting protective effect in the same way as other medications might (such as vaccines). The time when a pet should receive their next worming dose will depend upon the types of worms they are at risk from and their lifestyle, which should be discussed with their vet.

How often should I worm my dog with Drontal?

General veterinary advice is for all dogs to be treated for intestinal worms at least every 3 months.
